NOBIS will strive to provide all Australians with certain basic 'givens' - supply of clean water, clean air, excellent education standards and guaranteed health safety net for all, delivered on Medicare model. Medical, dental and nursing education to be promoted by favourable funding and promotional campaigns. Substantially better pay and conditions for nurses. All public health facilities funded and managed centrally, a single national service, with uniform standards of training, discipline, pay, hours etc. Worker promotion based on performance and personality appraisal and theoretical examination. All health premises must be brought up to and maintained at acceptable standards. Funding of all facilities to be increased to ensure ERs etc can meet needs. Rigorous regular screening of all health personnel for competence and personal / psychological stability.

Preventative medicine practices to be promoted, funding for palliative care for alcohol, drug and tobacco victims to be restricted. Mobile aged care to have increased funding, intensive care for terminal aged cases to be restricted. Home births to be encouraged. Standard medical services to be expanded by recognition of and academic qualification for 'traditional' medicines. Innovative new internet-based information reticulation system based on video-on-demand to be developed for the Australian health and associated community. |
