Australian Banks have been aligning practices - not quite collusion, due to the small number of banks, but having the same effects of avoiding competition. Examples include the introduction of penalty charges in recent years. NOBIS will tax banks 200% on all such charges. NOBIS will establish a minimum cost nation-wide 'basic services' banking service to pay salaries and pensions, and to handle all government cash flow banking business, so recipients are not obliged to pay fees to commercial banks as now. .
