CLA Membership BenefitsBecause you are a Subject of Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and constitutional Queen of Australia, or a guest in Australia, you are part of the family of the Queen and entitled to all the privileges granted by the Constitution of Australia. Thus all persons in Australia - perhaps with the exceptions of foreign diplomats and illegal immigrants - are de facto Members of the Commonwealth of Australia. Overseas holidaymakers and backpackers may not be aware of it, but by virtue of having received a visa to enter and remain in Australia for whatever period of time, they have become entitled to be Members of the Commonwealth for the duration of their visa-entitled stay here. Asia-Pacific Intellectual Property Registry (coming soon) The CLA IP Registry service exists to register pieces of IP material to prove precedence of production, and is available to CLA members and non-members alike. You are invited to submit material to be archived by the CLA Registry to protect your work. Materials may be submitted for registration by mail or via online registration; all submissions are to be in virus-clean electronic format. Cost per item is a low AU$15. Given the differences in copyright law in Australia as against the USA in particular - despite international Conventions and other agreements - a writer here owns the copyright on any original output as-of-right. The only requirement to prove copyright ownership within ANZ is to be able to demonstrate precedence of production in case of contest, which requirement is met by the CLA Registration service. The CLA Registration Service has been set up to assist writers and others in establishing the completion dates of intellectual property. Registration provides a dated record of the writer's claim to authorship of a particular literary material. If necessary, a CLA officer may produce the material as evidence if legal or official CLA action is initiated. (Such participation is at an additional fee.) This service does not replace patent, trade mark or other protection processes requiring registration under Australian Law. For these, seek legal advice from a Patent etc Attorney.
Banks in Australia make vast unearned and undeserved revenues from gouging their customers with joke 'fees' for everything from 'account keeping' to 'closing of account' to 'wearing the wrong coloured undies' fees. In this dishonest and blatant rip-off they are aided and abetted by the Commonwealth Government, which under the Howard Nazis discarded the obligations of its 'legal tender' currency and effectively made it obligatory to every person in Australia to have one or more bank accounts. All at a cost, of course. To the user, not to the Government. The banks made billions, and we paid for it. All unnecessarily, except for the Government making it obligatory. How else to get paid wages or salaries or pensions? You have to use a bank, an EFTPOS machine, a chequebook. And that is illegal, considering we are entitled to be paid in legal tender. CLA is developing strategy to establish an Australia-wide bank, to serve the benefits of its customers rather than its Board of Management and its shareholders. This bank will be a hybrid of bank and credit union, combining the best features of each. The bank will definitely be 'no-frills' - which means levels of service basically the same as mainstream customers have today from the major banks. It will provide straight-through access to funds from paycheques and pensions, with no account keeping or handling charges. Lending will be provided through a sister bank, again no-frills to keep the rates and whatever charges that are essential as low as possible. Security of deposit and transaction and privacy will be equal to or better than that at present on offer from the major banks, and the deposits will be guaranteed by the Commonwealth, as with the major banks at present. The intention of Bank CLA is to offer an alternative access to banking services to the general public, so that they can avoid being gouged by the big banks. Centrelink & other government harassment Any person unfortunate enough to have experienced unemployment for any reason will be aware that the status of the unemployed in the eyes of Canberra's Elect is something combining all the more virulent aspects of leprosy with the social status of Uncle Tom at a Ku-Klux Klan hootenanny. Both sides of our political spectrum despise the unemployed - after all, they are proof that the brilliant plans of the party godlings are not working, aren't they? And isn't that enough to justify their extermination? Australia is one of the few First-world nations to not have any constitutional protections for the human rights of its people - and it shows. Centrelink has a range of very dodgy practices in place - all claimed to be legitimised by teh Social Services Act and its various amendments - which it now uses to justify incarcerating unemployed persons at the whim of clerical workers in the Jobs network web of vileness. While we may not be able to assist directly or immediately due to the large body of complaints against Centrelink and its agents, by registering your complaint with us, along with your contact details, you will be assured of inclusion as a plaintif in the forthcoming class action suit against Centrelink, DEEWT, its Ministers, agents and others. Certification of Commonwealth Public Officials The CLA is enrolling and certificating a number of Commonwealth Public Officials under the terms of Sections 13 and 15F of the Crimes Act 1914 (Commonwealth), and the Criminal Code Act 1995. The purpose and function of such Commonwealth Public Officials is to act for the Crown in respect of all offences civil or criminal complained of or otherwise becoming known to him, and to undertake various other roles and functions of civil administration and authority, on behalf of the Commonwealth. As such, each CPO carries with him/her at all times a Certificate of Appointment comprising security identification and signed, sealed and recorded for the Court of Faculties of HM Queen Elizabeth II. This Certificate confirms the bearer's Authority and Right to Protection of the Judicial Power of the Commonwealth in respect to his property and passage, and requests, on the authority of the Commonwealth, all assistance and protection of which the bearer might be in need. CLA Category III Members are provided as a free public service with the processing, identification establishment and legal documentation involved in becoming a certificated Commonwealth Public Official. Civil Marriages Service, including Same-Sex Marriage CLA provides civil marriage celebrant services at cost to members; additionally, CLA Members who are registered Commonwealth Public Officials will be empowered to conduct same-sex marriage ceremonies throughout Australia and its possessions. The CLA is in process of developing a Commonwealth of Australia authorised Same-sex Marriage. This will be in the form of a Life Partnership Agreement which will confer upon the participating couples all of the civil rights, privileges and entitlements that apply to heterosexual couples. These include establishment of legal rights of inheritance, superannuation transfer, pension benefits, entitlement to adopt children and are intended to provide as close a match as possible to the legal rights conferred by heterosexual marriage. These same-sex marriages require to be sanctioned under seal, and certificates of Commonwealth of Australia authorised same-sex marriage will bear the appropriate seal. Community Policing is a concept that can be highly effective - and potentially highly risky. The idea is that volunteers, local residents of good standing, patrol in their own neighbourhood to deter and if necessary arrest nuisances such as noisemakers and graffiti artists, persons committing acts of vandalism, potential muggers, street bullies, drunks, drug dealers, street prostitutes, noisy pub and club operations and the like. The conventional police are kept so busy in their stations filling official forms and social networking that they don't have time to protect us from these real pests and dangers. Community Policing is a great idea that is proven to work effectively, with no cost to the community. The problem is that, sometimes, budding fascists and other 'hard liners' get into these organisation just so they can throw their weight about and bully people - just as they get into the regular police forces: some others get in to forward other agendas, such as gangsterism, cultism or other pseudo-relegious fanatacism. The difficulty lies in maintaining the line between civic-minded community policing and vigilantism or Lynch law.The CLA, well aware of the foibles of human nature, is devising systems and structures to enable a genuine Community Policing establishment in every Australian local community to reduce the burden on, and to enhance the work of the real police, while screening out the undesirable 'volunteer bully' element. Court of Voluntary Jurisdiction The CLA offers an at-cost Court of Voluntary Jurisdiction service to members. This provides all of the integrity of a State or Federal Court hearing, with the benefit of the CLA guarantee of absolute adherence to the protections required by the Australian Constitution, which are daily discarded and trampled upon by our State and Federal Courts. CLA Courts are presided over by qualified and experienced Judges, and administered under CLA watchdog administration. The CLA Court offer the welcome relief of an alternative to the big-L 'Liberal' clubhouse that so much of Australia's court system has become. For example, did you know that all court processes entitle the accused to a jury trial? That any accused person may reject the jurisdiction of any Court over his/her 'Soverign person'? That only a jury can find the accused guilty, and only the jury can set the penalty? That all court sentencing in Australia since 1965 has been unconstitutional? The CLA offers an international escrow service to members. This service ofers the CLA as an 'honest third party' which may hold monies against delivery of goods and services to contracted standards. This service is administered under most strict CLA supervision and administration, to the highest of global regulations and standards. CLA also offers - again, only for members - a Trustee service to handle wills and testaments, guardianship and other benifice management services, and associated functions. As a free public service to its Category II members the CLA provides Commonwealth of Australia authorised Claim of Right Driver Licences to persons meeting the criteria of issue. These criteria include being Members of the Commonwealth of Australia, having passed a State or National Driver Licensing Test somewhere in the world, and not being subject to any physical, mental or other problem which might impair their ability to drive a motor vehicle. The only limitation on the Commonwealth of Australia authorised Claim of Right Driver Licence is that travel is restricted to -

Indebtedness Strategic & Tactical Advisory Service In the unhappy event that they may have fallen on hard times, and are being pressed by debt collectors or others, CLA Members are provided with advice and assistance on how to cope with the various situations they might be experiencing. CLA can go a long way in helping you to keep the wolf from the door by advising you of various strategies and tactics which you can apply. These devices are all perfectly legal, and will in most cases effectively prevent the debt collectors, bailiffs, sheriff's men and others from performing their usual unpleasantnesses ranging from incessant phone harassment to actually seizing all of your property. In order to ensure that these devices can be effective in protecting you, it is important to put them in place as soon as you become aware that you are in a parlous financial situation. Members are advised that this service is provided as a confidential consultancy, on a fee-per-hour basis. Apart from paying for the consultant's time spent on your case, this is done to ensure that a provable contract exists between the consultant and yourself, thereby guaranteeing security of the professional confidentiality of that relationship. In the USA, the 'sub-prime' crash was caused mainly by very shoddy lending practices, which were enabled by ignoring regulatory controls - which was connived at by the 'watchdogs' - or by outright criminal activity. Evidence that in Australia during the Howard regime similar shoddy and criminal lending practices were being used are now increasingly coming to light - forged documentation being one of the major scams used. In one case, a broker forged his client's signature on application forms and forged tax returns and other loan application support documentation in order to push through a $6.5 million mortgage - so the broker could pocket his substantial fee. The forgery has been proven in court and the client is free from any obligation to repay the loan, because the mortgage was fraudelent - it is now a civil matter between the bank and the broker, and a criminal matter for the broker. Standard Membership CLA Standard Membership provides certification of Membership of the Commonwealth of Australia to entitled applicants, and the right of free communion with all other members of CLA. Standard Members are involved in the Educational Services functions of CLA - generating Educational Kits, delivering lectures to school and public groups, servicing the communications need of CLA and helping in research. Standard Members who are qualified in Law participate in assessing situations for potential infractions of Law or of the rights of Australians, and where appropriate, in generating processes of Law to remedy these wrongdoings.
